Pssemr School Gandhi House

Gandhi House - “Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Shine On”

The house is named after our Father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi. The Gandhians better known at PSSEMR as “YELLOW HOUSE” are an energetic, determined, and spirited race. Led by a belief that they are more than just “an ordinary group of students”, they truly stand out. Yellow color signifies positivity and immense energy, they are an admirable example to the students of the school. Every Gandhian is indeed delighted to be part of a house that shines with the qualities of persistence, faith in one another and the ‘never give up’ attitude.  Students of the Yellow House are usually described as impeccable, par excellent, dependable, radiant, exquisite, and spectacular.

Tagore House - “Striving towards excellence with humility in our hearts”

The House is named after Noble laureate Rabindranath Tagore, who gave us the National Anthem.  The students of the Blue House, referred to as Tagorians are known for their high intellectual skills, stability, and unity, symbolizing the blue color.  They are dominant in many of the co-curricular activities, be they cultural or sports. Their greatest strength is their self-reliance and willpower. Students of the Blue House possess enormous intellect. They are committed to their goals and are all-rounders and highfliers. Though known for their intelligence, the Tagorians can summon immense courage in other fields as well, as competition needs.

Raman House - “Essential. Limitless Potential”.

The house is named after well-known scientist Sir C V Raman. Red is the symbol of bravery, selflessness and honour. Students of Red House are hardworking and committed at all times. They are inventive and self-motivated and this is the reason behind their success in various inter-house competitions. The Ramanians are passionate towards their house, thereby upholding their standard always. Students of Red House are known for their unity, and face challenges as a team. They are the jacks of all trades performing to the best of their abilities in sports and cultural events.

Vinobha House - “A team above all, and above all a team”.

The house is named after a social reformer Acharya Vinobha Bhave. The colour Green is indicative of elements like Mother Nature and life. The Vinobhians are always prepared and organized to compete to their fullest potential.  Students of the Greenhouse are empathetic, affable and accountable. All the members are composed and consistent performers in academics as well as sports. They derive their confidence and valour from the famous words of Acharya Vinobha himself to put up tough competition against the rest of the houses.
