Music Competition at PSSEMR School

On July 11, 2024, PSSEMR School Davangere hosted a vibrant Music Competition for students in grades III to V. The event, held in the IG AV Hall, showcased the remarkable talents and musical prowess of young students, providing them with a platform to express themselves artistically.

Objectives of the Music Competition

Music competitions are vital in nurturing students’ artistic abilities and enhancing their musical education. The primary objectives of the event were:

• Artistic Expression: Providing students with a platform to express themselves artistically through performance, showcasing their musical talents, creativity, and interpretation of musical works.
• Performance Experience: Offering students valuable performance experience, allowing them to perform in front of an audience and gain confidence, poise, and stagecraft as they present their musical repertoire.
• Musical Literacy: Fostering musical literacy and understanding as students learn to interpret musical notation, analyze compositions, and explore different styles, genres, and historical periods of music.
• Goal Setting and Achievement: Setting goals for music competitions motivates students to strive for excellence, improve their musical abilities, and achieve personal and artistic milestones through dedicated practice and preparation.

The Day’s Events

The competition began with a warm welcome from the school’s music teacher, who emphasized the importance of music in holistic development. Each participant showcased their unique talents, performing a wide range of musical pieces from classical to contemporary genres.
