Introduction
The Inter-House Swimming Competition for students of Classes III to V was conducted successfully on 20 June 2026 at the PSSEMR School Swimming Pool. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students representing Gandhi House, Raman House, Tagore House, and Vinobha House.
The competition aimed to nurture physical fitness, confidence, discipline, resilience, and sportsmanship while providing a competitive platform for young swimmers to demonstrate their aquatic abilities. Students participated in various events including 10m Kickboard, 25m Kickboard, 50m Kickboard, 25m Freestyle, and 50m Freestyle.
The atmosphere throughout the competition was vibrant and encouraging, with students displaying remarkable determination, perseverance, and respect for fellow competitors.

Highlights of the Competition
More than 50 young swimmers participated enthusiastically across multiple swimming disciplines.
Students displayed excellent swimming techniques, confidence, and discipline while competing.
Shri Gowri K P (Raman House) emerged as one of the standout performers by securing three first-place finishes.
Pulkith Kalagatta (Vinobha House) delivered an exceptional performance by winning both the 25m Freestyle and 10m Kickboard events.
Trishul A (Gandhi House) consistently performed across freestyle and kickboard events, contributing significantly to Gandhi House's score.
The competition emphasized teamwork, resilience, healthy competition, and respect among participants.
Conclusion
The Inter-House Swimming Competition 2026–27 concluded on a highly successful note, showcasing the enthusiasm, talent, and sporting spirit of the young swimmers of PSSEMR School. Every participant demonstrated dedication, courage, and determination while upholding the values of fair play and mutual respect.
Based on the official scoring system, Raman House emerged as the Overall Champion with 62 points, followed by Vinobha House with 50 points, Gandhi House with 39 points, and Tagore House with 13 points.
The school congratulates all the participants, winners, House Coordinators, coaches, officials, volunteers, and the Department of Physical Education for their sincere efforts in making the event a memorable success. Such competitions continue to inspire students to pursue excellence in sports while fostering confidence, discipline, teamwork, and lifelong fitness.
