INTRODUCTION

The Inter-House Poetry Recitation Competition for CBSE students of Classes III–V was successfully organized on 01 August 2026 (Saturday) as part of the Inter-House Activities Programme for the academic year 2026–27. The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from the four prestigious houses—Raman House, Tagore House, Gandhi House, and Vinobha House.

The event provided young learners with an opportunity to express their thoughts, emotions, and creativity through the art of poetry. Participants confidently recited poems with excellent voice modulation, expression, clarity, and presentation, captivating the audience and judges alike. The competition encouraged students to develop self-confidence, communication skills, stage presence, and appreciation for literature while fostering healthy inter-house competition.

OBJECTIVES

The Inter-House Poetry Recitation Competition was organized to:

• Encourage students to develop an appreciation for poetry and literature.

• Improve pronunciation, voice modulation, and articulation.

• Enhance confidence and public speaking skills.

• Develop expressive communication and stage presence.

• Foster creativity, imagination, and language proficiency.

• Promote healthy inter-house competition and sportsmanship.

COMPETITION OVERVIEW

The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from all four houses:

• Raman House

• Tagore House

• Gandhi House

• Vinobha House

Students from Classes III–V showcased their talent through expressive poetry recitation. The participants were evaluated on the basis of:

G. of Tagore House secured the second and third positions respectively through their impressive delivery and stage presence. Bhanavi D. S. of Raman House also performed commendably and contributed to the success of the event with enthusiasm and confidence.
