Introduction

The Inter-House Long Jump and Balancing Mug/Book Competition for CBSE Boys and Girls (Classes I–II) was successfully organized by the Department of Physical Education on 01 August 2026 (Saturday) as part of the Inter-House Sports and Games Programme for the academic year 2026–27. Students from Raman House, Gandhi House, Tagore House, and Vinobha House participated enthusiastically, demonstrating excellent balance, coordination, agility, confidence, and sportsmanship. The competition provided a wonderful opportunity for young learners to develop physical fitness while enjoying healthy inter-house competition.

Objectives

The competition was organized with the following objectives:

• To encourage active participation in athletics from an early age.

• To develop balance, coordination, agility, and physical fitness.

• To improve concentration, confidence, and body control.

• To promote discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

• To identify and encourage young sporting talent.

INTER-HOUSE BALANCING MUG/BOOK COMPETITION

Boys (Classes I–II)

Competition Highlights

The boys displayed remarkable balance, concentration, and coordination throughout the event. Every participant completed the challenge with determination, making the competition highly exciting.

Vaibhavi demonstrated remarkable concentration and balance to emerge as the champion in the balancing event.

Ruthvika produced the best jumping performance among the girls and showcased exceptional athletic talent.

Conclusion

The CBSE Inter-House Long Jump and Balancing Mug/Book Competition for Classes I–II, held on 01 August 2026, concluded successfully with enthusiastic participation from all four houses. The competition promoted physical fitness, balance, coordination, confidence, teamwork, and sportsmanship while providing students with an enjoyable platform to demonstrate their athletic abilities.

Gandhi House emerged as the strongest overall performer by securing the highest number of podium finishes across the events. Tagore House and Raman House also delivered commendable performances, while Vinobha House displayed determination and competitive spirit throughout the meet.
