INTRODUCTION

The Inter-House Cricket and Basketball Competitions for CBSE Boys (Classes IX–X) were successfully organized by the Department of Physical Education on 01 August 2026 (Saturday) as part of the Inter-House Sports and Games Programme for the academic year 2026–27. The championship witnessed enthusiastic participation from the four prestigious houses—Raman House, Vinobha House, Gandhi House, and Tagore House—with students competing in a spirit of determination, teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.

The competitions were organized to promote physical fitness, leadership, teamwork, strategic thinking, communication, confidence, discipline, and sportsmanship among students. Throughout the tournaments, participants displayed exceptional batting, bowling, fielding, dribbling, passing, shooting, defensive coordination, tactical awareness, and teamwork while maintaining the true spirit of fair play.

The event provided an excellent platform for students to showcase their sporting talents, strengthen house spirit, and uphold the values of unity, perseverance, respect, and healthy competition.


OBJECTIVES

The Inter-House Cricket and Basketball Competitions were organized to:

  • Promote physical fitness and an active sporting lifestyle.

  • Develop teamwork, leadership, and communication skills.

  • Enhance technical and tactical skills in Cricket and Basketball.

  • Encourage discipline, confidence, resilience, and decision-making.

  • Foster sportsmanship and healthy inter-house competition.

  • Strengthen unity, cooperation, and house spirit among students.

The championship witnessed enthusiastic participation from:

Students from Classes IX–X demonstrated exceptional teamwork, athletic ability, coordination, leadership, and competitive spirit throughout both competitions. Every match was played with enthusiasm, discipline, and determination, making the tournaments exciting and memorable.

Gandhi House also contributed significantly to the success of the tournaments by displaying resilience, determination, and exemplary sportsmanship.

The school extends its heartfelt congratulations to all the winners and participants and expresses sincere gratitude to the Principal, Department of Physical Education, House Masters, teachers, officials, volunteers, and support staff for their valuable support in organizing the championships successfully.

The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony where the winners were honoured amidst loud applause and appreciation.
