INTRODUCTION

The Inter-House Basketball Competition for CBSE Girls (Classes IX–X) was successfully organized by the Department of Physical Education on 18 July 2026 (Saturday) as part of the Inter-House Sports and Games Programme for the academic year 2026–27. The championship witnessed enthusiastic participation from the four prestigious houses—Raman House, Gandhi House, Vinobha House, and Tagore House—with students competing in a spirit of determination, teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.

The primary objective of the competition was to promote physical fitness, teamwork, leadership, communication, coordination, confidence, discipline, and sportsmanship while providing students with an opportunity to demonstrate their basketball skills in a competitive environment. The tournament encouraged participants to strengthen their strategic thinking, tactical awareness, quick decision-making, and team coordination through spirited competition.

Throughout the championship, the players displayed exceptional dribbling, ball control, accurate passing, confident shooting, rebounding, defensive coordination, transition play, and tactical gameplay. Every match reflected remarkable teamwork, resilience, mutual respect, and a healthy competitive spirit, making the tournament a memorable celebration of athletic excellence, house pride, and sporting values.
